In 1863, Napoleon intervened in Mexico and the defeat of the French troops in Puebla is the reason behind the 5 de Mayo celebrations. Yet the French influence lives on, and Avenida Reforma in Mexico City was modeled after the Champs-Élysées in Paris. Handcrafted by Ana Maria Gonzalez, this decoupage jewelry box depicts scenes from France. The lid opens to reveal three compartments. Beneath is a drawer.

“Beautifully Crafted”

I love this jewelry box! It is so unique, & colorful. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars, it was a tiny bit wobbly. I put some felt dots, on the bottom corners, & the problem is solved. Very beautiful.

“Beautiful Work”

Novica is new to me, so when it popped up while I was browsing, I was skeptical, but decided to take a chance and ordered this beautiful Day of the Dead jewelry box. The workmanship is superior, the colors are fabulous and and a great artist touch. Not only was the product exceptional, it came gift wrapped with a thank you note from the artist. I was not expecting the attention to detail and the care when packaging. It also arrived in a timely manner and I was kept apprised of the shipping by email. Class act, I will definitely be ordering something in the future.
