Delivery EstimateCrowned by a crescent moon, this cheerful mask comes from Côte d'Ivoire. Salihu Ibrahim carves the piece by hand of native African sese wood, eliciting rich textures from its grain and adding applications of white clay for contrast. "Such masks are used by the Yoari people when celebrating the appearance of the full moon," he explains.

"This Yoari Moon mask makes me happy !"
When I wake up in the morning and see the Yoari Moon mask first thing, it makes me smile. This is the second mask that I ordered from Novica. This morning my husband commented on how beautiful it was. I have about 47 mask in my bedroom and this one has such a sweetness. I was going to order togetherness by the same artist but he has recently changed the face of that particular mask and it no longer speaks to me. I am throughly satisfied with this purchase.

"Wonderful mask"
