Delivery EstimateBy artisans from Asige Basketry artisans, this raffia basket is the perfect way to carry the day's goods from the farmers market, take home a haul from a day of apple picking or simply accent your home in style. Green, red and beige combine in vertical zigzags that complement the leather trim. Raffia is a natural fiber harvested from the raffia palm, an indigenous West African tree. Popular, sustainable and beautiful, it is used the world over in weaving, rope making and more.
A braided leather cord holds the basket closed. To open it, slide the wooden bead down to the tassel and gently pull. To close the bag, slide the bead upward to the loop.
