Details
Mujiyono recreates the majestic Jatayu bird of the epic Ramayana tale. Jatayu is a god-like bird with enormous wings that tries to foil Damasuka's plan for war. The Javanese artist sketches the initial design on a leather panel, then hand-paints the intricate details. The finished piece is affixed to a buffalo horn and includes a wadang wood base for display.
