Details
Ghana's Peter Turkson Kwame Boakye works to help his village by training and empowering local carvers and craftspeople. He hand-carves this pair of sculptures from local sese wood to depict a pair of twins sitting on stools. One of them wears jewelry made from recycled glass beads. The artist names them after the Ashanti tribe of Ghana.
