To create this stunning table mat, pure wool is tinted with all-natural pigments from local materials like flowers, walnut bark and cochineal. Mario Chavez in Mexico designs the fringed mat, which is woven on a traditional pedal loom in shades of marigold, dark wine and orange. The Zapotec-style mat makes a cheerful centerpiece on a dining or coffee table.
