This striking sculpture is the creation of West African artisan Daniel Quarcoo. Hand carved from local sese wood, the sculpture is adorned with tiny recycled glass beads and textured brass, copper, and aluminum plating. The artisan names the sculpture Bakota, a Gabon figure who stands for peace.
