Wile away the hours on a leisurely Sunday with this gorgeous chess set designed by Indian artisan Rakesh Pathak. The artisan crafts the set from acacia and haldu wood with a hidden, velvet-lined tray for holding the chess pieces when not in use. Each piece is equipped with a magnet on the bottom to keep them from toppling while you play.

"Cute but . . ."

I am so disappointed in this item. It is very cute but, functionally, its a bust. The gap between the ears of the giraffe makes it extremely difficult to use. I struggle to place the glasses on top of the holder and have them remain there. They slide back and forth and I have to reposition them repeatedly. Thankfully, I am only using them for inexpensive blue light glasses, but there is a real risk of scratching the lenses. I may give up and just treat it as a sculpture, but thats not what I wanted or needed.
