Meaning "old woman" in the Akan language of Ghana, this sculpture is named Nana Briwoa Tia. Samuel Owusu creates this sculpture, which he carves by hand from sese wood and gives a shiny black finish with painted accents. An African mother holds her baby close to her breast, the duo wrapped in a spotted cloth.
