Delivery EstimateVictoria Agyepomaa designs this diminutive statuette in honor of Ashanti customs and their legendary thrones or stools. Each stool is said to be connected to the owner's soul and therefore can only be used by the owner. Ashanti stools are also made for kings and chiefs to indicate power and status, and are carved from a single block of wood. According to custom, when a stool is not in use, the owner should lean it on its side against the wall to keep passing spirits and souls from sitting on it. This elegant replica is carved by hand of ebony wood, masterfully highlighting the wood's natural grain.
