Crafted from sese wood, this decorative accent depicts a worried man deep in thought. A lidded pot rests atop his head. The pot is engraved with a bird or sankofa, an adinkra symbol representing the Ghanaian proverb "go back and get it". Kwasi Asante designs and carves the unique vessel, painting in shades of brown and black.
Adinkra symbols are visual symbols used by the Asante peoples of Ghana. They represent common philosophies or proverbs, which have an important role in West African culture.
