By Ghana's Eric Danquah, this African mask is named Kuntinkantan, which means "do not boast" in the Akan language. The artisan carves an imposing face with a thoughtful expression, as the personage perhaps considers his words before speaking. Aluminum repoussé adorns the original mask design.
