Crafted of cotton, a lovely blue elephant is decorated with floral motifs in this mobile from Thailand. Designed by Thikaporn, the mobile is further enhanced with beads of raintree wood and glass. A gold-tone aluminum leaf dangles below, and two aluminum bells make a ringing sound.

"Cheery and pretty"
I bought this to hang on my doorknob (inside) so I can hear the door open and close...works great and looks pretty. The hanging loop is a little small for a standard doorknob as it was meant to be a mobile or wind chime to hang on a hook, so I just use a ribbon of my own, to tie it on the doorknob.

I began working with handwoven bulrush handbags, embellished with Northern Thai patterned fabrics and the creative embroidery unique to the Akha people, who are skillful at needlework. Akha people earned very little from their routine work because their education level is not high, and some have no education at all. I am very happy to show what my people can do."
