This extraordinary decorative ceramic vessel is a hand crafted Chimu replica by Ynocencio Ccahuana of Peru. Carefully formed from clay, the spout rises in the shape of a face with a tall hat, his portly body rounded out below where liquid would have been held. In general, Chimu ceramics are characterized by a metallic black finish.

"Fabulous Piece!"
This piece is reminiscent of the ancient pottery found in the ruins of the Nazca region and also in the prehistoric Indian ruins of the Southwestern United States. . I love the look and character of the ancient pottery of both regions. This piece is a wonderful addition to my collection.

"What a great ornament"
