Working in ceramic, Dionisio Rojas depicts The Last Supper, an event of great religious significance. Jesus is joined by his twelve apostles, all dressed in traditional Andean attire. From this symbolic moment comes the breaking of bread and sharing of wine that marks the Holy Eucharist.

I love Peruvian ceramic work. Generally I prefer the limited palette of earth tones central to Peruvian ceramics but Dionisio Rojas has used beautiful and sophisticated colors to enhance this piece.

Ever since I saw this design in a magazine, I ve wanted one. My daughter-in-law is from Peru and I have a big family down there. This is beautiful, except the fingernails were not colored differently than the fingers.
