Batik Bird Motif Striped Cotton Shawl, "Bird Fantasy"

Hayat Gutti of India designs and creates this elegant cotton shawl with the cherished wax resist dyeing technique of batik. Vertical stripes in tones of seafoam, cerise, and honey make up the background of the shawl, while graceful birds in cyan, mushroom, white, and saffron flit about in the foreground. The edges of the shawl are neatly stitched.
