Tall and slender, this ceremonial mask by Evans Doe Martey is named Anim Tentene, "Long Face" in the language of Ghana's Akan people. Rich applications of brass repoussé simulate tribal markings, while subtle color enhances the elegant piece.

"Engagement Gift"
I gave this to my son and his fiance when they became engaged. They love African art and I wanted them to have a reminder to love each other. It is a beautifully carved mask that isnt overpowering, only inspiring.
