Details

Francis Agbete carves this sculpture with admirable artistry, each figurine vividly depicted. "This is a unique boat and it really describes to the world the lifestyle of our men along water bodies," explains the Ghanaian artisan. Working with sese and kapok woods, he includes two oarsmen and two men in the middle playing the legendary oware game. The rest of the passengers have their eyes set forward, eagerly awaiting arrival at their destination.
