Carved from sese wood, this African mask is designed by Ghanaian artisan Abdul Aziz Mohamadu. He decorates the face by hand with petite beads of colorful recycled plastic. A star and two diamonds on the forehead are made of gleaming brass. This mask is named Awuradi Gyimi, an Akan phrase that means "God save me."
