Details

In many Ghanaian traditions, a couple who had difficulty conceiving would visit a shaman, whose gift of a fertility doll would ensure a successful conception for the couple. Designed and hand-carved of wood with the utmost skill by Prince Amartey of Ghana, this figure bears one of the adinkra symbols of the Ashanti people in embossed aluminum. Ubiquitous throughout Ghana, this adinkra is called gye nyame, meaning "except for God." A powerful emblem of the creative force within us all, this fertility doll makes an inspiring addition to any home.

"Impressive mask but colors seem faded"

This is an impressive mask. The only negative feedback I have is that the colors contrast in the picture are not what the mask shows. The colors or shades in the mask are very faded and almost without contrast. That is why I gave it a 3-star rating. But still, it is a nice mask to have on your wall.
