In rich dark brown, strips of leather are used to carefully braid this necklace by hand. Ghanaian artisan Ila Suleyman creates the accessory, which features a wider section at the center that tapers the closer it gets to the button clasp. This necklace is named Mpusia, meaning "thank you" in northern Ghanaian.
