Ceramic teapot and cups, 'Green Valley' (set for 4)
By Nana Jane
Dainty and Delightful
Javier Servin is a master of his craft, and I am always excited when I see new items by him on the Novica site. This little tea set lived up to my expectatrions. The shapes are functional and the fine detail of his decorations is mesmerizing.
Wood alebrije figurine, 'Shimmering Fish'

Fish out of water!
This smiling fish is absolutely adorable. It is small, so keep that in mind. i just love looking at her (of course shes a female!) She has a companion, the Grey Fish (a man-fish), also from Novica. My husband is a Pisces, too, so it fits into my whimsical design. Beautiful!
Wood figurine, 'Death and Folklore'

Detailed, finely made
I do appreciate these artists who create the Oaxacan detail techniques of painting and carving. This is a great example of how that is done. I will look forward to collecting more from these artisans!
