Beautiful piece of art
I bought this beautiful mask full of delicate details y bright colors, and the day I received my gift was coming with a lovely personalized postcard in a gorgeous wrapping.
Angel Cerons precious art piece blesses my home.
As many times as my eyes scanned all the art pieces available on Novicas site, again and again I returned to Angel Cerons Aztec Duality. The meaning of the mask as well as its beauty spoke to me, captivated me. And when the two I ordered arrived at my home and I saw them in their three dimensional beauty, I appreciated their sacredness even more. They now hover above the entry to my home, blessing all who enter it.
A really wonderful piece of woodwork. Beautifully carved and one of my favorite things from Novica. Jose, I love your work and hope that one day soon the Yellow Maya Jaguar and Parrot Mask will be available again.

"When someone puts on a mask, actually, he is unmasking himself, as hidden aspects of his personality become visible."
Popular Halloween Masks
Guatemalan Day of the Dead Skeleton Pinewood Mask, "Skeleton King"$79.99
Covered with bright flowers, a grinning skull wears a golden crown. Jose Canil crafts a mask to celebrate the Day of the Dead in Guatemala. "The sculpture's bright colors are a reminder that death is nothing more than the beginning of something new," he says. "In the next life, we are all equal and each of us is a king or queen. We will want for nothing."
Handcrafted Mexican Ceramic Skull Mask, "Life and Death in Teotihuacan"$79.99
A skull opens to reveal a living face in this intriguing mask from Mexico. "Part represents life, part represents death. This exemplifies the ancient Mesoamerican concept of duality," artisans from the Angel Cerón Artisan Association explain. Day and night, hot and cold, dark and light — this thought was present in almost all philosophical and religious ideas, extending as far south as the Andes.
Butterfly Theme Balinese Hibiscus Wood Mask, "Queen of the Butterflies"$77.99
A butterfly alights on the face of a beautiful woman with scarlet lips. Or perhaps it is two birds, facing each other as if in a test of wills. By Gusti Ngurah Semarajaya, the enigmatic hibiscus wood mask is painted by hand. It poses on a stand of guagule wood.
Unique Leather Wild Cat Mask, "Spotted Jaguar"$44.99
With its shining, reflective eyes, the jaguar was believed by pre-Hispanic man to possess a connection to the spirit world. An endangered species, the spotted yellow cat still finds a home in Brazil's Amazon rainforest. Marcílio Barroco depicts the magnificent feline in a bold carnival mask. He molds it from leather and paints it by hand before attaching an elastic band. The piece is signed with the artist's characteristic symbol.
