I have been eyeing this sweater for months. Finally, I was able to save $20 off, so placed my order. I am a fan of Ana Fernandezs sweaters, and this one did not disappoint. The sweater fits me perfectly (size S). I can wear it buttoned down or not. The colors make it possible to wear with lots of different color slacks or jeans, although it is just a tad dressy for the latter. The pattern is woven in; at first I thought it was embroidered on, but I assure you it is woven as part of the garment. It truly is better in person than in the photo. And it is sooo soft. I absolutely love this item: the style, the overall pattern on the front, cuffs, and back, as well as its versatility. Ana has a fan in me. I cant wait to see what she designs next.
This sweater is a WOW!
I loved this sweater from the moment I opened the package! The fit is perfect, and it looks great with blue jeans. I m impressed with the quality too. This sweater will be in my closet for many years to come.
A Warm Work Of Art
The cardigan was even more beautiful than the photos suggested. A distinctive well-knit pattern. I selected the green colour which is darker in person than in the photo which I liked better. I think it fits true to size, but rounded up on the measurements to be sure. A timeless design that can be dressed up or down.
"For me, designing is a fusion of ideas."
Jauja Alpaca Cardigan, "Jauja Lace"$159
The Peruvian town of Jauja briefly flourished as the capital of Spanish Peru. The Inca riches that Pizarro and his men found there even led to the legend that Jauja was a land of luxury. "Pais de Jauja" has become a Spanish expression for a mythical land of leisure and excess, but today the real Jauja is a quiet colonial town with fewer than 20,000 residents. The lacy patterns on our alpaca-blend cardigan are inspired by the Baroque and Rococo architecture of the 1564 Jauja Cathedral. The tan and ivory sweater features a hidden front zipper.
Floral 100% Baby Alpaca Cardigan in Stone from Peru, "Dream Garden in Stone"$169
The fine alpaca fleece of the season’s first shearing, called baby alpaca, is what makes this thigh-length cardigan so irresistibly soft. Peru’s Ana Fernandez designed the swirling floral pattern, inspired by 19th-century Baroque textiles. Features coconut shell buttons.100% baby alpaca.
Alpaca Blend Zip-Front Cardigan from Peru, "Aymara"$149.99
High in the Peruvian Altiplano, people have been using soft, durable alpaca fiber to make warm yet lightweight garments for centuries. Benita Cutipa uses an alpaca blend to create this lively zip-front cardigan. Geometric patterns inspired by ancient textiles stand out against a black background.
Nature-Themed 100% Baby Alpaca Cardigan in Tan from Peru, "Romantic Nature in Tan"$154
Professing a love for nature, this stunning cardigan from Peru is created by Ana Fernandez. She knits this warm accessory from 100% baby alpaca wool, the fine fleece from the season's first shearing. Floral and bird motifs in antique white decorate a body of tan, accented by stripes at the wrists and waistline. A coconut shell button-up front completes this lovely sweater.
